  The initial scent is fruity with a hint of spice. After letting it breath for a short while, it started to smell a little more like pancakes or waffles with syrup on it. The flavor was slightly tart with a soft peppery flavor. It did come off strong at first taste. The ending is slightly bitter and I can't say I really enjoyed it to its fullest.
  
  After having the wine breath for a few hours, the flavor is much more mellow and palatable. The bitterness is a lot less and the strong first flavor is much smoother. The scent and flavor don't match IMHO.
