Ripe red but also blue berries, some herbal notes, even a whiff of wet leather. Fresh with hidden tannins that only strike after a while. Enticing nose but rather simple overall; but nevertheless a clearly a step-change from the mediocre 2015.

Enjoyable 'super tuscan' style Sangiovese - CS blend.
I get blackberries, quite some notes of fresh forest fruits & redcurrant with an acidic touch along with some pepper -y spices. Integrated tannic structure. This, and the acidity really balance out this wine nicely and makes for an elegant whole. Perhaps I expected a bit more from this, but still good stuff. Still a bit too young and immature maybe?
