I bought a few bottles of this in Lidl, as part of a 'reduced price' stock clearance.
Nose of sharp and sour cranberry. Palate is slightly mute. Sherbet-like youthful flavour profile. Finishes with persistence dousing the mouth with flavour. Very very basic bar-loweringly simple Rhone. Went nicely with Boiled Ham and Cabbage. I kept going back for another glass. A nice blast of fresh honest Rhone made with care. Better in six months. 13.5 % alcohol.
I went down to Lidl the next day to buy more, but it was sold out.

Fresh and light, this is beautifully balanced and pretty much perfect in its simple authenticity. Sweet but delicate red and blackcurrant fruit underpinned by fine minerally black tea tannins, bitter herbs and cinnamon spice. Long flavour for such an inexpensive wine. Lovely with or without food. A tad sweet for me but I can't imagine anyone disliking it. £5.99.
