  • Always hard to know which vintage to tag this under. Disgorgement date was 19th July 2018, but it also says LR15 which I assume is the base.

Fresh and crisp, served blind. I thought this was a low dosage (say 2-3) but it was actually zero, brut nature. Wow. Impressive. This was not Tart at all. Great job. From DrK.

  • Dinner at NVNA. Tasted blind. Drank in Zalto Universal.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Fine bubbles. Thin legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of citrus lemon and lemon peel, green apple and lime, brioche, stony minerality. No oxidative notes here. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium- alcohol (12%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of green apples, lime zest, citrus lemon and lemon peel, stony minerality. Medium+ finish.
Good quality. What I expect BdB to be like. Racy, zippy and zesty. Can develop some over the next few years. Not tainted by the ripeness of the vintage.
    Zero dosage. Disgorged 19/07/2018.

  • Initial impression - quite open. Yeasty scent. Lactic sourness. Slight bitterness on finish. Acquired taste, but I don't dislike it.
Day 2 - components much better integrated and less lean. But still needs a little age for everything to come into place.
Not sure about long term ageability of this wine... and not a rebuy for my part.
