Bordering on amber. Strong apricot with a lick of lime poking through aroma. Orange marmalade, apricot, caramel. Sweetness appropriately cut by the still very present acidity. Really a doppelganger for the de Bortoli Noble One at this stage of is life. A mellow caramel future awaits.

Hunter Valley - 3 Cellar Doors (Hunter Valley): {375ml, screwcap, 10%, A$35} Botrytis characters; orange peel, dried apricot are evident on the nose. Luscious, medium-sweet palate, with orange and apricot flavours. Plenty of flavour, but paradoxically only light/medium in weight, and the acid is a bit reticent, which lends the whole things a slightly flabby air, with a cloying finish. Nice enough, but not a cellaring wine.

Hunter Valley 2019 Trip; 3/8/2019-3/9/2019: ~150 g/l residual sugar. Apricot, orange, marmalade and lime. Nicely balanced, has the acidity needed to carry the punchy sugar. Good length. Not sure how it'll age but it's tasty now.
