  • Twelfth wine at the Friday Auction Tasting for the Cape Winemakers Guild and the first red wine. This is made up of 100% Pinot Noir by Jan Coetzee from Stellenbosch. Aged for a total of twelve months prior to bottling. Only 47 cases produced with 36 being auctioned in 2018. Sadly this was Jan's last year as a member of the Guild as he has decided to retire.

Light to medium mix of garnet and ruby red in appearance. A touch stinky on the attack of the nose with some animal nuances, followed up by purple flowers and cherries. Medium plus acidity (7/10) and light plus to medium bodied. Layered palate with black cherries, leather, spices, touch of earth and some darker characteristics in the long finish. Drink till 2026.
