Dark and inky. 100pt bouquet of perfectly integrated oak and cherry fruit. Palate almost reflects that wonderful nose. Slightly oak dominant with light to medium cherry and eucalyptus fruit demanding attention. Mild acid in the back palate on an enduring finish. Expertly integrated wine as you would expect. Eaten with lively curries and complimented perfectly. Loved it.

Decanted for 2 hours but still somewhat closed. Restrained nose but red fruit and a bit of pepper on the palate. Sandalwood finish with soft velvety mouth filling tannins.
After a night in the wine squirrel: much more open. Nose still not giant but palate huge — more red fruit more vanilla.
Overall a great wine but not sure I’d buy again for the price.

A very well made wine with eucalyptus, vanilla, blackberry, pepper, coconut, very full and high alcohol. Great to drink, but it doesn't excite as much as a wine at this level should. Score is for drinking now.

Utregs Wijnhuis tasting Exclusief (Utrecht, NL): Interesting to see where the wine is at this stage; still very young. Smoke, eucalyptus, black currant, blackberry, oak, cocos. Full bodied, medium+ acidity, medium+ tannins, long finish. Big, bold, full of power, but very enjoyable. Will be better in ~5 years. 93-94
100% new American oak
