Saturday hangout (Chicago, IL): The nose has a mild bit of reduction and a relatively generous hit of oak. This doesn't have the same weight as the Art Series (I didn't know where this stood in the Leeuwin hierarchy until looking this up as I wrote this note) and while there is the requisite acidity, there's a thinness on the palate that makes this a relatively simple wine.

Appearance: pale lemon, green highlights, medium+ tearing, no rim variation, no gas evidence.
Nose: clean, medium+ intensity, youthful, lemon, tangerine, green pear, yellow apple, green pineapple, white flower, wet stone, clotted cream, bread dough, smoke, caramel, toast, vanilla.
Palate: dry, high acid, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), medium+ body, medium+ intensity, medium+ finish, lemon, tangerine, green pear, yellow apple, green pineapple, white flower, wet stone, clotted cream, bread dough, smoke, caramel, toast, vanilla.
Overall: A really nice Chardonnay with some riper fruit aromas of pineapple/tangerine alongside some more restrained citrus, some subtle florality, and a good amount of lees- and oak-driven secondary notes. On the palate, the wine has surprisingly high acid keeping it super fresh, and pointing to a long life ahead, especially considering the balanced alcohol and solid intensity. Really tasty now, but I see this wine getting even better with a few years more of bottle age. Great value!

Nose: A little lemon and pear
Taste: a really velvety pale lemon with a bit of sweetness. It has a great finsh.

I don't have tasting notes and I'll reserve rating this wine, but it was definitely enjoyable and reasonably priced.
