  Wow, what a showing from the obscure Collioure AOC. Grenache / Syrah dominated and deep crimson in the glass. Glorious, complex nose of dark plum, cherry, iodine, cured meat, spiced blackberry, smoke and flint. The palate is gorgeous with copious amounts of ripe damson, blackberry, cherry and deeply savoury notes of roasted meat along with a streak of minerality. At 5 years of age this is so well balanced with beautiful texture and concentration as well as ripe, integrated tannins through the long, elegant finish. Produced from vineyards within touching distance of the Mediterranean and in deep schist soils this is knockout. A wine to follow.

  Bonne typicité aromatique des collioure mais caché par un nez un peu vineux
  En première bouche soyeux, ensuite encore jeune et puissant, fruits frais. Déjà rond mais en manque encore, donc attendre 1 an ou 2. Avec le risque d'un nez qui peut se dégrader.
  Mais avec un fromage ça compense bien
