What wonderful stuff this was, and how sad I am that I didn't purchase more when I was at the winery in 2018. Layers of honey, just a bit of apricot and then more honey. I don't actually like real honey but I love it in a wine meant to be sweet. Paired wonderfully with steamed snow crab and salt potatoes (another upstate NY delicacy :) ).
Would have guessed Sauternes blind on the first night. On the second night (actually 48 hours later) it's toned down quite a bit and more of an apple flavor on the palate, but still quite enjoyable.
