nose - lemon, white peach, and just a hint of chardonnay butter mouth - underripe pit fruit, seashell, a fine mineral character, with a bit of bitter peach skin on the finish. taut and a lovely expression of chardonnay. excellent chablis

First bottle from a case and first taste of this wine since tasting it at Tribut in 2019 when Laurent Tribut called this "tense and linear, tendu". This is still plenty nervy and tense, but I tasted this bottle over three nights and it softens and unwinds and shows a pillowy, gentle side. It makes me wonder whether 2017, while certainly a good vintage, may be just a touch softer than say, 2014 or 2010. That aside, this is very pleasing, notes of lemon oil, very clean and bright. With salmon, in the Berkshires.

Tribut's 2017 Côte de Léchet shows the citric profile of this vineyard in a classic Chablisienne structure, linear and nervy. Drink starting 2024.
