Color, deep opaque red; 1st nose, red fruits including cherries and pomegranate; 2nd nose, spices and cedar. On the palate, good amount of fruits and tamed tannins, big body with long finish.

Black-purple color. Yes, blackberry, bay leaf, and a note of stewed prunes on the nose. (I’m with you, previous taster.) The Mourvèdre is strong in you, L’Amourette: it’s that richness, that dark fruit, that diesel-bramble-dust-gunpowder-Charlize-Theron’s-Mad-Max-leather-vest seriousness that I love in Bandol. Wow, where did that come from? Great structure and delicious finish, all for $15.

Fabulous Grenache (40%) & Mourvèdre (60%). I think it would benefit from five more years of cellaring to 2027. I should have bought more!

The nose is quite heady, strong liquorice element; Similar palate, a little singleminded and finishes a bit thick and heavy.
