My first encounter with Chateau de Bonnezeau, a relatively sought after producer from Loire Valley. Tasted blind – Pungent nose of peach, quince, and delicate ginger-y perfume. Nice textural grip with mild vegetal tone. Interesting wine with a peach tart taste, slightly natural but not too funky. Loire Valley Chenin Blanc 2017? (83/100)

A huge improvement over my last bottle, showing tremendous typicity and depth of flavors. A gingered nose, ever so slightly oxidative, along with pear and peach notes. Prominent acidity, held in check by the ripe white plum and marzipan notes and additional spice. Exceled as it warmed, and even better with food.

My last bottle of this. Salinity and minerality, with zippy acidity. Very good and quite youthful.
