  • This bottle takes a good hour or two to open up, in open bottle. It is very tight and disappointing when just openned. Afterwards, the nose is rich and educated, with bouquet of figs, dates, and almonds; very mediterranean. Does show some dark cherries specially black cherry and raspberry on the nose. Coats the mid-palate nicely with same fruits, integrated with tannins and some oak to give it a pleasant finish. Some heat is evident both on nose and mouth. This wine will evolve to one more point with time. Of course, Merlot, it pairs very nicely with cheeses.
