Pours a little light but don’t be deceived. It’s closer to garnet than cranberry in the glass with a nice shimmer. A full, rich bouquet opens up after a bit of air. The fruit really attacks on the front end. Mid palate has some depth and interest and finishes with refreshing acidity and just a enough bitterness to balance the abundant fruit. The oak has for the most part has integrated and is barely noticeable. You would be hard pressed to find a better RR Pinot at this price level, especially this vintage.

Tasted in single-blind fashion, this light-to-medium ruby-colored Pinot offers aromas and flavors of tart cherries, raspberries, clove, cocoa and cola. Light-to-medium-bodied, freshly acidic, seamlessly alcoholic (13.9%) and with a complementary component of toasted oak, it wraps its flavors with medium fine-grained tannins. The middle palate is nicely dense, leading to a medium-length, vibrant finish. This impressive debut from Iskaranu has the structure to ensure additional development. Drink now-2025.

Oaky cola, spices, bright red fruits. Some nice acidity.

This was nice. It is light bodied, with purple red fruit, and a nice spice component.
