  Last of these six bottles. Dark. Creation wines in the comparatively cool and damp Hemel en Aarde valley, just inland across the hill from Hermanus, seems to favour a New World style for its wines, with obvious extract and sweet fruit. Sometimes this comes across as things all a bit superficial and candy-ish. Syrah is also a bit of an anomaly in the cool Hemel en Aarde valley.
  
  However....... this is a super wine indeed. It's a bit more Shiraz than Syrah ;) and a delicious and serious effort. Deep and lush loganberry-cedar fruit. Plenty of acid and complexity and streaks of bitterness to balance the fruit - which is not candied or over-sweet. It's so delicious young and I can't quite imagine what this might do with age: perhaps it's not a wine to age long.

  These two bottles were tighter than the first, but this is excellent Syrah 92++
