  • I was very much looking forward to trying this wine, and it was good but not amazing. Comes out of the bottle a medium yellow amber, quite age appropriate. Nose is initially quite shy, with just the slightest amount of fruit showing through but upon sitting in the glass for a good hour, it developed some very interesting notes of mushroom, sunflower and anise. These all strike me as very secondary notes for a wine that is just six years old, so the elements seemed a bit misplaced. But as the night wore on, the wine built up a more traditional backbone of lemon, chalk and even petrol, though in fairly small amounts. This wine maker is super highly regarded and unavailable in the USA so my review is a bit superfluous but I was expecting slightly better, but overall very good effort. Hope to see your wine in NYC soon to try more.
