  A very meaty, earthy character to the nose, over a tart red fruit background. Harmonious, crunch fruit on the palate, nice bright acidity and very fresh and lively. The finish is not long and impressive, but for me that in no way alters the fact that this was an absolutely lovely bottle. Really full of personality, very Savigny, and it's great to know that village wines do indeed perform so well.
