Not sure what vintage the latest bottling is (purchased March 2019). Deeply colored with nose and flavors reflecting the earthiness of the negrette (formerly Pinot St. George) grape with the spice of the cabernet pfeffer (actually mourtaou, according to UC Davis <http://fps.ucdavis.edu/fgrdetails.cfm?varietyid=3478>). Rough going at first with an unbalanced side tending towards grapiness, it smooths out with time and air. Enjoy now for its rusticity or hold to let it smooth out.
