I drank this bottle 2015 and back then it was on my top 10 best champagnes i ever tried.
Today 9 years later...well the wine has small fine bubbles left, around 3 of 5 on a scale. The cork was very silent with very weak pop and power, maybe 1 of 5. The scent has a touch of nuts, gunpowder, a little citrus.
Taste comes with a strong bitter lemon flavour, almost acidic, very sharp It feels the acid kills the complexity. Little semi sweet and very semi bitter.
The acid is so strong it makes the inside of my mouth rough.
I feel taste of maderization and oxidation. Kind of sherry. No real fruit and aromas left as the old good days in 2015. Sorry to say but prime time is over. I love Krug, but im not gonna lie, and i highly recommend to drink your bottles as soon as you can.
I think its really time to open this bottle up now, dont wait!
Still has one bottle left on Magnum,it will be interesting to open it up in future.
Score:
2015: 96-97 points.
2024: 85 points.

Burgundy Bachelor Party: From magnum this was killer, like aged Leflaive with bubbles. Great truly classic Champagne but… the aged Leflaive served after it was better.

In very good condition. Lushful fruitieness and great acidity structure. At his peak. 97
