For a medium aged (4yr) cab, it still has alot of tannin on the front and astringency on the finish. The color is a beautiful dark burgundy, but the legs aren't noticable or noteworthy in the glass. The wine is really quite unremarkable & we really had a hard time coming up with any descriptors. We did buy it at Sam's, so we have no idea how it was stored for the majority of its bottle life. There are too many good 2005 Napa Cabs at all price points to waste your time, money or storage space on this one.
