Rich and ripe for this producer. While I estimated a long drinking window with last bottle two years ago, tonight I am less sure. Heavy and backward. Hopefully just a phase?

Very nice acidity and fairly balanced with solid structure. Still racy and needs to round up in the bottle. The only shortcoming is the fruit which is not as strong as the structure. seems that they were in a hurry to stop the malolactic fermentation process. Would revisit in 2-3 years.

Fascinating wine that provides a different window on the Santa Rita Hills appellation. Initially reductive in the struck match mold, it later shows angular citrus and underripe tropical notes, that are then anchored to the ground by a mineral base as firm as the rocks of Stonehenge. I honestly cannot say that drinking this was a sensory pleasure, but it was intellectually fascinating. I’ll leave my other bottle for a multi-year sleep, just to see what might happen.

Strikes me like a grand cru Chablis with a warm climate flare. Acid plus and juicy with solid structure. The fruit still is in the back seat.

Still tight and racy. Needs another 5-10 year in the bottle to release the fruit inside the core.
