  • Deep ruby to edges, the nose is pure with classic blackberry jam, loganberry compote, brambles and top notes of lavender, violet, fynbos/garrigue and a pepper stem note.
    The wine has a fresh, cool mint-edged note, wonderful expression and intrigue.
    The entry is also cool on approach with a touch of sweetness, medium to full-bodied and filled with defined flavours of black cherries, pressed blue flowers and medicinal hints. Complex, with a crushed velvet texture opening to spice and wet soil, hung meat. This smart wine is well-defined with precise structural components, filigree tannins and lively acid. Finishes long with more blackberry and white pepper.

    A beguiling nose with aromas of iodine, black cherry stone and white pepper alongside ripe black sweet fruits.
    The entry displays bright acidity, a black cherry skin texture, stemmy notes from whole bunch ferment, and an overriding coolness from lavender flowers. There is a real seductiveness to the wine where a perfumed lavender freshness combines with a 90% bitter Lindt chocolate and a brushing of ground pepper. The finish is long and lingering with a chalky feel to it. The wine is athletic no hint of fat. Will wait on the other 5 bottles...
