Nose: This is a nose that is all about Chenin for me as its filled with quince, lanolin, red apples, peaches, ginger, white fruits, melon notes, vanilla, some minerality and a touch of smokiness that creeps in with air. There is excellent depth and definition along with an irresistible yellow-fruited freshness.
Taste: The feel is medium/full bodied with razor sharp, high acidity. The feel is well balanced and expressive with quince, lanolin, red apples, ginger, white fruits, melon notes, vanilla, and a bit of smokey minerality.
Overall: This was drinking beautifully after a couple of hours in the decanter. The acidity is sharp and cuts like a hot knife along with well balanced yellow and citrus fruits. This can certainly age longer but it is immensely enjoyable at this time.

A little reduction at first - green apple, lemon, rubber. Acidity and fruit make for a really nice mouth feel and shows vibrant green apple, lots of citrus and a bit of salt lick.

Chenin study (et al.) (Chicago, IL): In the context of many of the other wines tonight, this isn't too reduced, but there is definitely a slight stink here. Nonetheless, this is a very nicely balanced wine, with a moderate amount of white fruit and a prominent acid vein as well. Overall, this just feels too young right now, and a little time should round off some rough edges.

Initially very close but as it opened up great purity but somehow never achieved elegance, the texture just used to be over shadowed by wood
