A pronounced nose of lavender, stewed plum, raspberry liquorice, blackcurrant, coffee, chocolate, cloves, prunes, dates, and cherry confiture. The tannins are high, yet fine-grained, and give terrific mouthfeel to this wine. The palate is earthy, with plenty of ripe fruit. There is a lot of alcohol here (15%), but it is well integrated. I'd revisit this in another five years.

Med ruby. Med+ intensity. Red & black cherries, dried herbs, violet, black pepper, liquorice. Prune, fig, dried cherry, meat, leather. Med+, ripe tannin. High alcohol. Full body. Sweeter red fruit on the palate. Long. VG- good definition, finish is long and complex.

Medium ruby. Med+ intensity. Red/ black cherries. Dried herbs. Violet. Pepper, liquorice, mint. Prune, fig , dried cherry, meat, leather. Med+ acidity. Med+ tannins, ripe. 15% abv. FB. Sweeter red fruit on the palate. Long. VG.
NB: 75% Grenache, + Mourvedre and Cinsault grown in the chalky-clay soil from the slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail in Gigondas and aged for up to 15 months. This side is sheltered, unlike the opposite side (Tavel, Lirac)
