  Da mein Weinwissen über die Neue Welt vor allem aus Hörsensagen besteht und Südafrika noch mal ein extra blinder Fleck ist, war ich gespannt, ob ein Basis-Sauvignon meine klischeehaften Erwartungen erfüllen wird. Punktgenau, würde ich sagen. Wenn einem die Bio- und Naturweine von Zwergerlwinzern aus Österreich und Frankreich kurzfristig zum Hals raushängen, polt einen der globalmarktgerechte Stil wieder neu. Eh gut, keine Frage, Frische und Mineralität durchaus vorhanden, vorherrschende Frucht ist für mein Empfinden eine unreife Kiwi.

  Soft salmon-White. Wet paper and bread dough on the nose. Sweet lemon water with solid minerality and a tiny bit of vanilla bean. The body bears almost no relation to the nose; it’s as if each belongs to another wine. Very tasty.

  Neutral because I am not that much into SB wines. This was a back up purchase for our 35 people party. I had it in the fridge open (screw top back) for 3 days now. With the initial pungency and acidity reduced, this tastes better to me. Objectively, for €9, this is an excellent value. I can see this going up in a year or so, especially if one likes SB.

  Nicely made, fresh lemon, lime, light chalk, bit of floral, good balance, clean.
