Popped and poured to accompany lunch with my mother and Mary. Didn't catch the nose, was too busy unpacking. Initial taste put me off a little bit. I found it too sharp and hot. It was like the yeast was still being active. My guests liked it. I waited an hour or so, and the problems were still present. Since my guests liked it, I gave the bottle to Mary to drink at home. Bottom line, I think it was a little too old.

Strong red cherry flavors with some spice on the finish and fairly strong tannins for a pinot. Fairly dry and rustic in style, but very enjoyable, esp. for only $20.
