RieslingKenner-Scharzhofberger study (Oceanique, Evanston IL): Nose: The nose is upfront and forward with pears, apples, yellow fruits, citrus, quince, smoke, roast nuts, biscuits, and brioche. The tones are attractive and forward, but they lack depth and definition.
Taste: The feel is medium bodied with crisp, high acidity. The feel is well balanced and forward with pears, apples, quince, yellow fruits, biscuits, and brioche.
Overall: This was lacking a little bit in some areas sadly. It just missed the mark and lacked complexity and depth though it is a friendly and upfront champagne.

7/1/2018 disgorgement. Consumed over 1 hour. Broader and more depth with air. Moderate+ aromas/flavors of white orchard fruits, tea, almonds, and a touch of matchstick in the background. Medium body. Complex. A rich, dry, highly expressive and gorgeous champagne. Great now with upside over the next several years. My sense is this will do well over the long term as well. 93-95.
