Deep gold in color with very small, persistent bubbles. Yeasty, dried pome and a little bit of rubber ball on the nose. Rich palate of dried pomes, baked bread, and ash. Age sweetens, so it drinks like an extra dry.

Deep beige in color with still persistent bubbles. Yeasty, baked (not cooked) nose suggesting Chadronnay plays the lead here. Toast and dried apples lead the complex palate through the crescendo of the mid-palate to the somewhat lengthy finish. Very well made and a worthy alternative to higher priced Champagne (which you can save for the real special occasions). Drink up though.

No notes taken.
Medium yellow color ('98).
Nice apple and slight lime/lemon citrus nose and taste.
Tiny bubbles (not a ton but they hold up well).
Bright fruit.

Surprise!
Yes a great maker,
but to still have so much fruit going for it (slight toast and vanilla with apple/citrus/pear) is Impressive.
EAGER to bring one to the next event as a blind sparkler for Karen and other Van Duzer folks.
My first sparkler from them.
