Med ruby (almost purple); Med+ intensity, youthful aromas. Primary aromas of red fruits (cherry, cranberry, loganberry), black fruit (blackberry, bramble, blueberry, boysenberry), herbal (mint, garrigue, medicinal), herbaceous (currant leaf, pine). Secondary aromas from oak (chocolate, smoke, cinnamon, char, toast) and a hint of yeast (bubble gum, banana). Dry, med acid, low tannin, high alcohol, med+ body, med intensity, med- finish. The palate picks up some tertiary bottle age (scorched earth, burned meat, charcoal, soy and spice). This is a good wine; Drink now, not suitable for aging.
The finish is very bitter which is a shame considering the rich, complex aromas that can be found in the nose.

Diggin south african pinotage lately. This one is not the best expression of the grape , as it lacks the enveloping vanilla, aromatic tobacco, and roasted cocoa of some of the better productions, but it is still well balanced and structured on its own.
Cherry, moss, and cinnamon with a little slate and stone meshed throughout.

Paired with chimichurri flank steak. Pairs nicely as the wine is spicy with medium to high acidity.

Smoky Cherry and Leather. Earthy with a slight tart finish. Easy drinking red. Not bad for the price and good with burgers and fries.
