Tasted on day 2. This was tight on day 1. Medium garnet color. Smells like a forest floor on the nose. Some sweet fruit here balance by savory notes. Some tea and cola on the mid palate lift. Finishes smooth. Very nice.

Brig hit the nail on the head. Cherry on the outset, berry on the finish. Unique, as the prominence of the cherry seems to lead to a more subdued experience on the palate. Nice acid level. relatively muted nose. soft tannic finish is icing on the cake.

Dark red, with a deep taste. Notes of red cherries. Mature and sophisticated, with real depth, confidence and character. Very good length. It's own thing, but it really did remind me of a Burgundy, Pommard maybe.
I prefer this to the Noel Vineyard PN which is a bit too pretty for my taste, altho of similar quality.

Attack is cherry and the finish is mixed berries. There's a sage component that hints at age and maybe France. Solid earth notes. Blind could lead you diwn the Grenache path. I enjoyed it.

Tasted along side a St. Innocent 2014 Zenith and a 2014 Haden Fig Le Puit Sec. The Claygate was my favorite. Nice sour cherry notes on the palate. Fine grained tannins. Not overly sweet like some other Oregon Pinots from riper years. Great balance between fruit and acid. Very long finish.
