  The wine showed a slight nose of nectar and pears. It was a pale yellow straw color upon opening. I expected the wine to be somewhat past its peak but I was mistaken. The wine was in lovely shape, tasted lots of tropical fruit, light to medium bodied, decent acidity and balance. Not an overly complex wine at this point in its life--I didn't notice any particular tertiary flavors--but I liked this wine a lot and was very pleasantly surprised that it's still in such good shape.
