  • Excellent
This continues to develop and settle in. It was at it's best on the third night when only a glass worth remained in the bottle overnight from the second night. Very nice even on PnP, but coiled, reduction. Air opens it up and it can't be too cold. Note showing wet slate, hay, citrus (slightly muted), creamy + acidic!, great balance, long finish of citrus and orchard fruits.

    I think I want to wait on m final bottle until 2026 - 2028.

  • This continues to be in a beautiful drinking spot just now with a bouquet and palate of apple, lemon cream, crushed stone with a creamy finish kissed by hazelnut. The minerality suggests an Old World wine, but the fruit is clearly New World. An elegant wine of balance. This is a bit more complex than the last time I drank it (4 months ago) suggesting further reward with patience. A blend of Chardonnay from Clos Pepe, Spear, Kessler-Haak, Bentrock and La Rinconada vineyards. 13.5% alc. With roasted salmon and ham grits. 01.04.24. Recommended with a nod to Highly Recommended.

  • Liquid gold in the glass. Apple, lemongrass, and lemon cream on the nose and palate. Hazelnut comes along and locks arms in harmony with the other flavors. Nothing flabby or fat, but restrained elegance with the fruit balanced with acidity. The finish is adequately long with all the notes making distinct appearances. Maybe the wine is a bit linear without developing complexity. 13.5% alc. With fried oysters with the acidity cutting through the fattiness beautifully. 09.23.23. Recommended with a nod to Highly Recommended.

  • This was a beautiful wine and match with Cousins Maine Lobster Rolls last night.
