Opened 60-90 minutes. Wonderful. Still has fruit, but some aged character. No idea how much lifespan left, but drinking well now, and doesn't seem to be fading.

Mid-red with no signs of ageing. The nose is warm, fruity, with a hint of S France warm dry stones and a touch of spice. The palate is very fruity, spicy, rich and meaty. Lovely

Still youthful in appearance - inky purple with ermine tinges - this modern-styled blend (40CS, 40Sy, 20Gr) announces itself with a sexy, perfumed, still slightly febrile nose. Buckets of sweet, ripe dark fruit: black cherries, blackcurrant, blueberries, Juicy Fruits gum. There's liqourice, wood smoke, and tar as well, plus some creamy vanilla oak, and the surprising impression of washed wool. It's generous, but youthfully taut at the same time. Not too obvious on the palate, but it's immediately attractive, and the power builds up as it swills in the mouth. Good backbone of fine-grained tannins, with good acidity to balance the dark, ripe fruit, and an attractive backbone of sloes and crisp, straight-off-the-tree plums. Loads of complexity here, but it's still a baby. My score might look rather low if this develops over the coming years as I'd expect it to.

Seemed a bit tight and not as fruit forward as I was hoping/expecting. Similar notes on Day 2 and Day 3.
