  • Pretty black cherry fruit, not too sweet, well balanced. Has held up well but also hasn't added a lot of complexity.

  • Since this is a 20 year old wine, a was a little hesitant about serving it so I used my husband and mom in law as Guinea pigs to try what I thought might be a wine past it's time. I think it was right on the edge but was good. I served the wine with Broiled Lambchop lollipops marinated in an olive oil garlic and the dijon sauce and a butternut squash spinach and cheese casserole on the side which complimented both the lamb and Wine.

  • A lovely, mature Pinot. This wine is all about texture and finesse. Pale red color. Bouquet of red cherries, flowers, and light spice. In the mouth, a velvet lovers dream, just caressing the palate. The fruit is light but very pure, with loads of earth and spice and floral complexity. Finishes with elegance and grace. A-/A

  • Very thin color (lots of transparency) with a red core but significant smoky bricking at the edge. Nose of porcini mushrooms, beef broth, sous bois, and cherries. On the palate, this shows an initial hit of porcini mushroom, followed by a savory, meaty character that has a hint of cherry in the middle, followed by a black tea element that fades into a leathery finish that shows some drying out of the fruit and a barrel tannin character. This has evolved positively and is drinking well as an example of aged pinot noir. At or past peak for me, as the barrel tannins on the finish will only become relatively more dominant as the wine evolves further in the cellar.
