  • A blend of Vigiriega (45%), Sauvignon Blanc (40%), Riesling (10%) and Albariño (5%). 12,5% alcohol.

Rather cloudy and moderately opaque yellow-green color. Sweet, wild and rather volatile nose with aromas of wizened yellow pit fruits, some waxy funk, a little bit of apple jam, light passion fruit tones, a lifted hint of nail polish and a touch of apple peel. The wine is full-bodied, dry yet rather ripe and sweet-toned with lively flavors of waxy funk, cider apples, some juicy pear, a little bit of leesy yeast character, light leathery tones, volatile hints of nail polish and acetic roughness and a touch of saline tang. The wine is moderately high in acidity. The finish is wild, funky and on the shorter side with flavors of ripe pear, some cider apples, a little bit of tangy salinity, light leathery tones, a hint of waxy funk and a lifted touch of nail polish.

A wild and funky Andalucían white that does not try to hide its obviously natural upbringing. Probably too weird and funky for people who likes their wines squaky-clean, but I found the wine quite pleasant and enjoyable, albeit not that complex or memorable. The wine could use a bit more freshness and although not overwhelming, the wine could do with a bit less pronounced volatile acidity. All in all, a fun and drinkable effort.

  • The unclear liquid gives away that this is a natural wine, the nose has animal notes but soon clears and turns attractive albeit the funkiness comes occasionally back when one swirls the wine in the glass, the palate is surprisingly clean and clear cut fruity, a natural wine which is more classical than funky. A recommended experience.
