Slow-O 2 hours. First taste in 3,5 years, and this continues to age pretty glacially. Bury in your cellar if you're looking for the long fireworks show. For its full potential, some years from now, it's highly recommended

Aerated to decanter 3 hours; not even enough time. My first time with this bottling even if I've a good history with this (one of my favorites in the region) producer. Structured, very pure, with exceptional focus though it's clearly in need of, for my palate, 3-5 years of rest. Even then, it'll only be getting going. Beautiful as always. HOLD. recommended

Holiday Parties 2019 (Dogwood Grove, Arlington, VA): Picked this up in Saumur during a trip to France this summer and felt compelled to re-live the memories of that wonderful town at Christmas Eve dinner. Unfortunately my enthusiasm led to a premature open for this wine, which still needs plenty of time. The wine has a deep, structured smokiness to go alongside black cherry and dark berry fruits and anise. Hold.
