(CALVET THUNEVIN CUVEE CONSTANCE) #3; COLOR-dark; NOSE-dark nose, coffee shop w/ pastries, mocha, creamy, strawberries & raspberries; TASTE-lot of Oak, but integrated, very Creamy mouthfeel, little heat, nice blueberry/raspberry combination, polished, structured, little vanilla, a little bland/cookie cutter for me, elegant, a New World fruit bomb, Many Newbies would like; RP-90; GV-87

Passed it prime, but I thought it would be undrinkable. Still decent fruit with a hint if oxidation and nuttiness at the front. Enjoyable nonetheless.

31 months since last bottle. Probably on the downward slide. Grenache and Carignan give a soft and rich burst of dark fruit (black cherry and blackberry),tar and roast and the syrah adds a bit of spice. Little tannin structure, but quite pleasant. Probably on the downhill run but a bargain in its day. 15% alcohol.

Nose is gone. Spicy with tart red fruits and oaky finish. My only bottle not sure if this was an off bottle. I've had other outstanding wines from this Domaine.
