Fantastic 2017 representative here. Biodynamic fruit that is a deeper medium purple with medium + acidity, medium + tannin. Plush flavor and medium + aromatics. 96+

No detailed notes taken. Depsite being young, this wine is so elegant and round, showing very complex and highly precise with the CdlR minerality at the core and intense red and dark berries around it, with spices and herbs to complement. Ever so slightly changing and evolving and all wrapped in a luxurious, delicate structure. Easily already drinking on a 96/97pts level.

Tasted at a restaurant in Beaune. Incredibly complex and detailed showing aromas of fine spice, smoke and notes that lift a multifaceted fruit of raspberry, red berry , strawberry and sour cherry. Also savory and perfumed, later gaining in intensity with aeration, adding mint, darker cassis fruit, tobacco and leather. Elegant, weightless palate with slumbering power underneath. Still has a bit of grit on the texture, but light and dense, impeccable balance. Best in 3-5yrs.

Barrel Tasting at Hubert Lignier (Morey St. Denis): Similar to the 2018, this is brooding with non-delineated red an black cherry. The palate is really a delight -- great concentration and intensity with a bright, intense earth/floral palate. I preferred the 2018 just a touch. 94-95+

PoB - Burgundy 2017 En Primeur (Hong Kong): Walkabout tasting, only brief impressions. I preferred this vs. the 2016 EP. Last year the 2016 came across as almost too dense and ripe. This on the other hand has an elegant and soft side to it. Great wine in the making. 96+
