This has rich, forward, chalky orchard fruit accented by citrus rind. Ripe and lush palate is joyous, awash in tangy acidity and fully approachable. While this will certainly gain nuance with age, it’s irresistible now.

Dinner at Dear Margaret (Chicago, IL): Bottle 0876. At first, I liked this more than the Clair opened alongside, but while the Clair seemed to pick up steam as the night went on, this bottle didn't seem to change as much. Not green by any stretch of the imagination, but compared to the riper fruit of the Clair, this had a little more of an underripe streak (again, this is only in comparison). The flavour profile here is along the lines of pears and almonds, with some really nice fresh acids and a little bit of a pyrazine chew at the end.

Delicious young Corton Charlemagne from @drink_beaune. 2017 White Burgundy has so much of everything — power, concentrated round fruit, acid-driven energy and chewiness. Reminds me a bit of 2010 Red Burgundy — loaded and complete, yet drinking so well from day one. A vintage to enjoy and cellar.

Quite tight at first, showing a hint of smoky mineral reduction. There's a core of dense citrus fruit and some wood spice. It is compact, linear and long and in need of a slumber.
