  Ha now here is a wine that tastes so much better than it costs. Plush nose of dark cherries, forest floor, light soy. Fulsome medium body, velvety tannins, very balanced with sweet velvety dark fruit layers. For a no-frills entry-level burg, this wine has a terrific complexity that holds on to you all the way to that last glass. A wine to buy by the caseload...

  Lovely medium ruby colour with just a tiny brown hint, and inviting nose. Red cherry, tobacco, leaf mulch, and rose.
  Silky palate, lovely balance. Light but velvet tannin and bright but not tart acid.
  Nice ripe red fruit with plenty of complexity.
  Good but not particularly long finish.
  
  Excellent value and well put together red Burgundy. Tasting good now but will hold on a few more years and head towards an even more savoury stage.
