Berry fruit and a touch of spice on the nose. The palate shows juicy fruit, with some cinnamon, white pepper, and oregano notes. Clearly from young vines. My first Turley in 15+ years and still how I remember it.

A lot more herbaceousness, cloves, spice, charcoal, sea salt, coarse black pepper than I remember my last bottle having. This is a fun wine. If tasted blind, I would have guessed an excellent GSM blend from Paso, heavier on the Grenache and Mouvedre. I do think it's fun that zinfandel has the ability to morph into different personalities depending on the vineyard source and winemaking.

I wanted to like it more because it’s Turley, but still a good Zinfandel for the price. A bit light. Not jammy. Has leather, fruit, and a fair bit going on, but slightly thin for my taste. But that’s OK. This is Turley “Juvenile” which it is, and it went very well with pork chops, rice, and asparagus.
