  • A new world, British Columbia version of an Italian Toscana.....
On nose: faint dark chocolate and red fruit notes.
On palate: a follow through of above flavours, as well as tobacco, present new oak resin, withan undercurrent of hay , vanilla and slight heat and clean acidity....not bad , but too much new oak used in this pleasant , medium bodied blend of 55% Cabernet , 25% Barbera and 20% Sangiovese....may soften with some age....but the excess oak is bothersome ....went reasonably well with pasta Puttanesca this evening.
