Needs about 5 hours of decanting this time, before the aroma emerge. Peppercorns, herbs, the fruits profile is thinner this time, with more woody notes support.

14.5% alcohol. G, S, Car in unspecified proportions. Diam10 closure. The colour is quite deep with some fading at the rim. Very good nose of fresh dark fruit, wild berries and liquorice; nothing cooked here. Even better in the mouth with a commendable tactile quality (especially so as the vines are still pretty young), and excellent balance. Mind you, this is a hefty wine but not an overblown one. A success of its type. Nothing like new blood to invigorate a relatively sleepy production area.

Harmonious, delicious, subtly complex, & elegant . The finish is fresh and long, with an aftertaste of fresh strawberries. The tannins are apparent and yet has a soft landing on the palate ….. The nose is just awesome, strawberry ice-cream, cherries , pine, & moments later, spicy wood, kirsch, black currants. I like the balance here, how the elements are held together. Classy. <3

14% alcohol. G (dominant, probably close to 50%, as the name suggests), S, Crgn in more or less equal parts, ie 25% each or thereabout; the producers like to remain vague about the exact makeup. Diam10 closure. This is not a "Vin de France" but an IGP Pays d'Hérault. Deep colour with a youthful purple hue. Very engaging fruity nose with plenty of freshness, liquorice and violets. The mouth is along the same lines with excellent acidity in the finish. Juicyness is a word that comes to mind as a key feature. A cut above most Minervois wines that have come my way (I don't chase them); interesting to see what two esteemed Burgundy producers can achieve when they are out of their comfort zone. A success without a doubt and a repeat purchase; superb value at 12€.
