  • Medium golden yellow color.
Aromas of anise, dried apricot, fig and spicy.
Rich, full-bodied and complex, some bitter, long finish.
Past peak, but extraordinary oaked chardonnay.

  • Kleur: Licht goudgeel. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 12 + Smaak / Afdronk: 17 + Algemeen / potentieel: 9 = 93/100

Colour: Light golden yellow. Aroma / bouquet: Rich and ripe bouquet, ripe yellow fruit (citrus, banana, mango), butter, a hint of vanilla, wax. Delicious and seductive. Taste / Aftertaste: Subtle acidity, brilliant filling with a filming mouthfeel, thick-juicy wine with notes of butter, vanilla and overripe pineapple. In all a clear Sonoma Coast Chardonnay, beautifully balanced, sufficient freshness and a wonderful balance. Overall / potential: Beautiful and balanced new world Chardonnay. 50 + Colour: 5 + Aroma / Bouquet: 12 + Taste / Aftertaste: 17 + General / Potential: 9 = 93/100

  • Gift bottle. Perfect cork and fill. Light gold color. Ripe fruit, buttery, oak and alcohol noticeable, good concentration, a bit heavy, clumsy for me, wife lived it.

  • Enjoyed an 06 Three Sisters about six months ago. Wasn't really as interested in this wine as I am with THIS wine. This wine has a very herbal nose. Dried nut, some butter on the entry but not too much. Aged guava. Time has done this one WELL. Finishes rather light for a wine that pours a little bit darker than I was originally comfortable with. VERY much enjoyed tonight. White WOTN without a doubt here. I look for this wine to develop over the next couple of years but I wouldn't give it longer than 5 years left.

  • I had this a while back with dinner at the Village Pub. Meant to do a detailed write-up because it was a remarkable bottle of white wine. Maybe the best new world Chard I've had. I don't recall a lot of primary fruit but it was still fat, balanced wine with layers of secondary flavors. I'm lucky to have 1 more bottle.
