Great and tasty amount of fruit balanced really nicely. Still quite young so a decant will be beneficial. The fruit is nice and fresh of strawberries and combined with the structure and acidity from this wine makes it a super companion to food. Will benefit from further cellaring.

The Burg train just keeps on a rollin'. Very balanced, great acidity (as one would expect from DeMontille). Noticing trend; white Burg is a huge value comparatively. Still great value.

Light, slightly watery colour. Pretty nose of red fruits and wet stone. Elegant palate but rather too elegant for my taste. Astringent finish.First of four, over two nights.

From Caves de Madeleien, Beaune - €90. No formal note. Initially some reduction, a little reticent, dried red fruit, a touch of game and spice, firm, but fine tannins, good length finish. Should improve.

Presents beautifully in the glass, wonderful Burgundy colour, fine legs. On the nose, it's very subtle but there are hints of vanilla and truffles. Very tight in an elegant way. Taste of spicy cherry, creamy caramel and berries, but very tight. I think it's a drink now.
