  • 15 months in 100% new oak barrels. Deep purple to ruby rim, the aromas leap out of the glass, showing plenty of oak spice, ripe cassis, toast, fresh vanilla and tobacco.
Full-bodied, the front palate delivers lots of oak spice that sometimes gives an impression of raw wood planks. However, the fleshy sweetness of fruit arrives brimful with ripe blackcurrant, cola tonic and blackberry. Expressive wine that works well with fabulous flesh and juicy core of ripe fruits, loads of vanilla charm and these interesting cigar box nuances. Despite the waves of oak, this full-on wine is nicely structured with a long sweet finish. Very attractive, this is a bright New World Cab-led blend.

  • Deep purple-ruby
A plethora of blackcurrant towards cassis and jam elements are interspersed with dry oak spices, cigar box, dried sweet herb and pencil lead.
This full-bodied Cabernet has power and depth of flavour and is wonderfully succulent. A firm powdery tannin has a heft of extract from the hot year appears to have enough flesh to balance out. Somewhat spicy and oaky up front, there is baked black fruit galore that should all integrate with time. Great concentration of flavour this is a cracking wine with an extended finish.

  • Deep purple-black to rim.
Distinct aromas of super-ripe black fruits, cassis, Creme Fraiche, blackberry compote, tobacco, sweet vanilla spice, and oak.
A full-bodied wine with a supple texture and vibrant acidity. There is a coolness to the wine that works with the very ripe, bright (high altitude) fruit profile. Fleshy, with bags of oak spices alongside good fruit concentration, the wine has plenty of material and a real depth of flavour - a good expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. The tannins are firm yet sweet, linear in palate shape, and an alcohol kick on the long finish. Plenty of oak should integrate with additional time in the bottle.

  • Deep ruby red
There are plenty of sweet black fruits on the nose with cassis, spicy oak, tobacco, vanilla ice cream with a blackcurrant coulis! Very ripe fruits!
A full-bodied, bold wine that displays a significant concentration of flavour and quite a bit of oak. A very accomodating/ambitious, plush textured wine focused on ripe black fruits underpinned by surprisingly lively acidity and finished with sweet yet puckering tannins.
Whilst New World in gait, it is also very much in line with Cabernet Sauvignon - the oak elements coated in plenty of ripe black fruits keeping a fair balance. Well structured but more time is needed for the wine to integrate fully. Very appealing wine with a long finish.
