Perhaps we waited too long or got a bad bottle, although I would not say it was flawed. It was exceptionally light and thin, but the citrus/pineapple and all came through....just wasn't that much too it. I can't imagine a Chard from a great vintner going bad in less than four years, just can't say. Given all the other reviews, perhaps this was an anomaly. We are a member of their wine club and have lots of reds and have been pleased with the Chards and Viogniers (seriously need to try THAT).

Thoroughly enjoyed this. Nice pineapple, citrus fruit. Better as it warmed up. Almost a toasty quality similar to a Montrachet. Great balance and acidity. A poor man's Aubert
I have to be honest that this isn't a favorite Roar effort here. It was tight and restrained upon opening and the oak influence predominated. I certainly understand and appreciate what a bit of patience can do so waited for this to unfold more in the glass. The fruit seemed underwater and fighting to surface but never quite made it. It remained pretty austere and linear throughout with notes of almond oil and peach pit. Not sure if this was more about me or just not one that was in my wheelhouse. In any case, not as enjoyable as usual for the Roar lineup.

Solid Chardonnay with nice oak notes and underripe pineapple. Good acidity and structure. Fruit is a bit subdued, highlighting more of the integrated whole than any singular feature. Nice on the palate.

This is a real beauty... oak perfectly balanced, a background sweetness that reminds of pineapple, buttery and fruity. What a honey! I could get pushed to 95.
