  • Huuuge nose of gibier, sanglier mouille, cepes de Bordeaux, angus, BBQ meat, fraises ecrasees, very delicious… Super sappy tannin, roasted angus beef, loads of cerise griotte, lenght of 60 sec!!

  • While watching the second snooker semi final I opened a 2016 Les Grandes Places from the very talented Nicolas Champagneux ! It's his first vintage and the second bottle so far I opened. This is now in a perfect condition(and for many years more). Black cherries, bramble, ground pepper, black currant and leather in the nose. The aromes are roaming around and last very long. The mouth got silky tannins, fresh minerality and some vanilla surrounded even by a fruity character with earthy notes. The palate is also awesome. In my opinion ir's a must have from the nothern rhone. Even the basic cuvee Dedicace is a power wine. It's just from younger grapes.

    Cheers !

  • 2016 Les Grandes Places - Cote Rotie - From the very talented Nicolas Champagneux ! Preparing my visit in June I opened this bottle. Deep red in color. Very complex notes of black cherries, blackberry and roasted meat in the nose. Violets and used leather. In the mouth the wine is very rich with beautiflull acidity. The tanins are in the begining to the state of ripeness, Very concentrated. Lovely ! I'm a little bit proud the be a part of this journey from the first moments. It's always a pleasure to be in his cellar and do some tasting while listeting to his explanations.

  • La Tablee: Grand Tasting (26 Bridge Street, Brooklyn): Again a nice wine from a very new producer. Very similar to the La Dedicace from the same year. Again that yummy fruit and more blood/iron style.
