Opened about two hours before dinner, but not decanted. Appearance in the glass is dark purple showing no visible bricking or signs of age. Incredible mouthfeel as the tannins are well integrated. This came across as more tertiary than primary to me with some violet and lavender and a bit of cassis. While those can be interpreted as primary by some, there is no berry or tree fruit that I sometimes get in a Cab. Full bodied with a velvety texture and long finish and wonderful balance. An impeccable bottle tonight that I wish I could share with my peeps - you know who you are. 94+

A Taste of Washington Wines w/Rasa focus (Our apt): This might have been my WOTN. It was just awesome. First time with it. The biggest standout was just the vibrancy of the wine. It dances across the tongue. Fruit primary now but it's young. There's a background that the secondary can get there. Would love to see again in 10+ years.
